How long can I hire a bin for?

At Banyule Bin Hire we provide skip bins for up to four days hire. When you book a bin through us, we will discuss with you suitable delivery and pick up times within the four day period. If you do wish to hire the bin for more than four days, we may be able to accommodate this at an additional cost.

How much does it cost to hire a bin?

Our prices vary depending on the waste type and size of bin you hire, as well as the suburb the bin will be placed in. Our online quote system is simple to use, and you can easily get a price for the bin you require. Or, you can call our office during business hours on 9462 6888 and one of our friendly staff will be able to discuss prices with you.

How do I book a skip bin?

Our website offers a simple to use online booking system. All you need to do is click the ‘BOOK NOW’ button and you will be directed to our online quote and booking page. If you prefer to talk to someone please call our office Monday to Friday 7am – 4:30pm and Saturday 7am – 11:30am and we will happily assist you with your skip bin booking.

How do I pay for the skip bin?

We require payment prior to the skip bin being delivered to your property. Our payment options are Credit Card, EFT or Cash on delivery. We also accept PayPal when booking your bin online.

Where can I place the bin?

Our skip bins can be placed in your driveway, front lawn, nature strips or on the road. Skip bins can also be placed in car parks or on site at a building site.

What can I put in the skip?

Our skip bins a re suitable to carry a wide range of waste types. These include household waste such as furniture, toys, whitegoods. We also have bins suitable to green waste, construction or renovation waste, soil or concrete. Please contact our office if you have any questions regarding what can go in our bins.

What level can I fill the bin to?

All our bins display the correct level to fill the bill to. For safety and legal reasons skip bins can not be filled above the sides of the bin. They then become unsafe to transport. If we arrive to collect your bin and it has been overloaded our driver may need to remove some waste to safely transport the bin. Overload charges may apply.

Do I need a council permit?

A council permit is required if your skip bin is placed on council property. Council property includes roads, laneways or nature strips. At time of booking we will discuss with you the best place for the bin to be placed and we will notify you if you require a permit. Different councils have different rates for permits, we will also discuss this and organise this for you.

How do I organise a permit?

You do not need to organise a council permit for the skip bin. As a skip hire company we will arrange all permits as required. Our permit fees will also include any insurances required to place a skip bin on council property.

What can’t I put in the bin?

Our skip bins are not suitable to carry to waste types, although there are some items we do not accept. These include gas bottle, asbestos, paint tins, large tree trunks, synthetic grass, chemical waste in solid, liquid or powder forms, this also include garden and household chemicals. If you are unsure, please contract our office to discuss.

What happens to the waste once the skip bin is collected?

At Banyule Bin Hire we collect your skip bin and return it to our transfer station where it will be sorted to remove and separate anything that can be recycled. From there we will transfer all the recyclables to specific tip sites in the Northern suburbs for further recycling.

Will there be any extra charges?

Our skip prices are inclusive of GST. There are surcharges that will apply if you have a mattress or tyres. A mattress is $50 per mattress and tyres are $20 per tyre. Extra charges will also apply if the bin has been overloaded. If you have hired one of our 2m skip bins and fold the sides up to make it a 3m bin an additional charge will apply.

When can I expect my bin to arrive?

At time of booking we will discuss with you a suitable time for the bin to be delivered. Whether you prefer AM or PM delivery. We will also give you a two hour window for delivery if you prefer a specific time.

What area do we service?

Banyule Bin Hire service all of the Banyule Shire. We also deliver bins to the Northern suburbs and Melbourne CBD.
